Big relief today. B&B owner in Fremantle emailed to say second of two bike parcels had finally arrived. According to Parcel Force data tracking it had been signed for 24 hours earlier. But no sign of it. Had vision of parcel getting dumped by delivery driver at wrong address.
John,
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to reading about your trip as it progresses. I am amazed at how much gear you will be carrying. Remember that fellow on the Oregon coast who had 90 pounds heading to San Diego and then on to Australia? So you know it can be done. Best wishes. I am envious!

Tom, Yeah. Others also reckon I'm taking too much gear. The trouble is I will have to cater for temperatures hitting zero at night and early morning. Anyhow I'll see what I can dispense with!
ReplyDeleteI understand you have left now (July 7th) and havent posted anything to say so!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway---all the best and I'm sure by the time you read this you'll have done some serious mileage if not the Thorn then the Boeing?
Hi Dad,
ReplyDeleteAs Tobi said where's the latest info? All arrived safe I hope and bought your GPS!
Lots of love

Am at Madura Pass after the best morning on the bike so far....bright blue skies, temps climbing from 7 to 22 C...took arm warmers off..and even some modest undulations and one steepish downhill into Madura. Getting ready for a big day tomorrow. Will try to get to the South Austrlian border in one day 190 klms. If the weather holds it is possible. If not I can cut off at Eucla.
